Hello friend!

I’m kidlit author Lora Stead! I live in sunny Southern Utah with my husband, three littles, and a mercurial cat. In addition to writing character-driven picture books and middle grade novels, I love Bikram yoga, mountain adventures and board game nights. My spirit animal is a butterfly and I’m a proud Hufflepuff.

My First Book Deal is Real!
I wrote a 100 word kid's Halloween story for a writing contest. The results aren't posted yet, but either way, it was a super fun experience and a highlight of my Halloween season! I hope you enjoy it. I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
